For Internet, and cable (possibly phone aswell), which provider do you use? Have you used the other and found one better then the other? What are some benefits/negative things about them?

Eastlink wins web wise hands down. I also like their TV, so I bundle the two. If they offered phone here I'd do all three. I had the full package when I lived in clayton park.

I've used Easatlink for the last number of years ~ 6 and I have checked around a few times for price differences and Eastlink still seems to be cheaper for the full bundle

Seems they are both fairly even in terms of pricing

never looked at installation costs or what not, but monthly bills seem to be pretty much the same

I'm with eastlink for internet and digital cable.

Just before xmas I had a call from Eastlink offering me free landline phone for a year AND a $4 discount off my monthy bill with no catches. After a year I can either continue on with the phone for ~$20 more a month or cancel it.

I asked the girl on the phone why they were doing this and she point blank blank that they were trying to get Aliant customers to switch. duh but good on them for not trying to candy it up.

Eastlink. I know of so many people who switched from Aliant in the last little while. They are turning to shit pretty fast.

yes and yes, was just reading a letter Eastlink sent me about Watch, Surf, and Talk bundle for $99/mo for the first 12 months. This seems good, but what does it go up to after the 12 months? I have Eastlink digital cable, with a HD/DVR and its usually great except the META 6 communication errors when using On Demand, that infuriates me but I think its in the cable connection under the house in the crawl space. I only switched to Aliant because of the 3 cellphones I am stuck in a contract with them, seemed cheaper to use Aliant for Internet and Home phone too at the time.

I love the Programming with Eastlink, I wouldn't have satellite and Aliant TV doesn't come out here. I found their service has always been good too.
