do you find your car drives real bad in wet conditions???

i know my car and my parents accord i find really bad when it rains (hydroplane), i'm sure it is cause i have stock tires which probally suck ass but also i find the cars are very light .

    any others have this prob?

reason why i asked is when i had the cougar that thing ROCKED in the rain, it was heavy so it sank right into the road and never hydroplaned.

I totally water-ski....... that might be due to the fact that that my car only weighs 950kg and I'm crusin around on bald winter tires.

Ever since I bought the Pilot Sports this year, it's killer in the wet!

my old tires were bomb in the rain!!!! new ones sucks ass!

its more in the tires than the weight of the car - my accord is 3000 lbs on the button and i am still all over the road when they are wet, but only since my new cheap tires

back to spending money next year on tires!

In fact it has nothing do with the type of car, not like Hondas are more prone to hydro plane then any other make of car.. its all weight and tires.. And since there are no "Honda Tires"....

it's all tires.. has nothing to do with the weight of the car.. if the tire is incapable of channeling the water out from under the tire so you have contact with the road.. the tire will ride on top of the water.. hence the hydroplaning term

the stock tires suck on our cars greg...that's why i've gotten the t1-s's. best tire out there for a highish price, and decent logevity. But you get amazing dry and wet traction. Worth the $$.

I had FZ-4's last summer... they were wicked in the rain... those things would part lakes without a fuss..... However, they wore FAST .. so I got Kuhmo 712's this year. Drove to hali in the rain last night.. I am not impressed.

What do you expect from a Quickie Mart grade tire. Kumho's = GARBAGE!

    100% tires.
155mph in the pouring rain at Le Circuit Mt Tremblant last month, no problems, well, can't see a fucking thing, but no grip issues once off the corner and into 3rd gear. The tires were Goodyear ALMS full wets, 14" wide, I could not believe what they would allow me to do in the rain, I was amazed, but, at almost $5000 a set, they should do miracles..
In the dry though, they are scary, you often see in televised races, when a dry line forms, racers all over the place trying to find water, this is SO nessasary, I could not believe how much grip they lose when they get hot on a drying track.

Used to hydroplane all over the place in the crx when it had 185 all seasons on it but with the 205 directional tires no problems at all
