Bought a n5, 1 year later had to get a replacement, today, 1 year after that have to get another for the same issue 5 days with no phone is going to suck
It simply will not turn on at all, unless it's conencted via USB....but if it's connected via usb it simply reboots to the google logo over and over again
apparently bell does not want to take my money, went in to buy a Nexus 6P and they won't sell a phone outright unless you activate it for at least 30 days on their network
Decided to pick up a note5 to try out...holy shit this thing is huge...everytime I type it feels like it's going to tip right out of my hands
gf's did a constant reboot. Had to mash the Lock/Power button to get it to turn on and stay on. Apparently it is a known issue.
This is what's now happening to my N5? N6P worth getting still.. or would it just be better in Nexus terms to wait for their next one? Liking the S7.. but.. that TouchWiz..
I would only ever suggest a Nexus. Not a fan of touchwiz. 6P is a solid device. Would definitely still be the best Android phone available IMO.
You'll be fine. I don't peg you as the skinny jean type and the benefits of the large display make the trade off well worth it.
I was horrified when I first saw the 6P. You really understand why they call it a phablet when you see it. Within two days I didn't think about the size at all and now when I look at my wife's Nexus 5 it looks so dainty haha... Honestly don't have the patience to even try to use it after getting use to my 6P.
Anyone have any experience with the N5 not receiving text messages.... then receiving hours worth all at once? Google says its been an issue with them for a long time..... but doesn't seem to be any solid solution (and no official patch from Google by now?) Seems like it may be related to the LTE vs 3G and potentially the WIFI ..... I can usually get it to work again by messing around with the preferred network type and rebooting / flipping it in/out of airplane mode a couple times.... but its's a real PITA for her..... PROBABLY why the original owner sold it on the local buy & sell.... claimed it worked fine....
You sure it's not the carrier? The Nexus 5 was a pretty popular device. Can't see it having a major SMS problem like that.
Well, same SIM that was in her original phone, then my old N4, now the N5. Never had any issues until the N5....
I've had that happen in low signal areas, seems like they can't be delivered and they queue up so when you get signal they flood through all at once
I don't think I've had this issue... my N5 has been pretty damn solid *knocks on wood* for the past couple of years. I can honestly say I'm still happy with it and have no major desire to upgrade.
