Premier said that if we keep on the track we are on, early June should be doable for businesses opening back up

We are the busiest I’ve personally ever seen it. Hopefully bringing some dudes back sooner than expected, I could definitely use them.

Best case scenario is people are so shack wacky from being on lock down for so long that they dump a pile of dough into the economy and kick start things

Online sales through this have been nuts. We're doing 3-4x our "normal" sales, with each month breaking personal monthly sales records.

    March, beat December (previous high)
April beat March (by five figures)
May will surpass April today (and will end up beating March by another five figures)

We can't send stuff out fast enough to keep up. Great problem to have.

There are two licensed long-term care homes and unlicensed seniors' facilities in Nova Scotia with active cases of COVID-19. Northwood in Halifax currently has 19 residents and three staff with active cases. One other facility has one resident with an active case. [This means nine active cases outside of long-term care facilities.]

    Same same.

Delivery trucks keep rolling up to the house, and I'm never sure if they're dropping off something I've forgotten about, or coming to pick up shipments I've scheduled pickups for.

Beginning today, the list of symptoms being screened for COVID-19 is expanding.

“This expanded symptom list is being adopted by all provinces and territories and is based on our growing knowledge of how COVID-19 can present,” said Dr. Robert Strang, chief medical officer of health. “As we move out of the first pandemic wave, it remains important to test anyone who has symptoms that could be due to COVID-19.”

If you have any one of the following symptoms, visit https://811.novascotia.ca to determine if you should call 811 for further assessment:

      • fever (i.e. chills, sweats)
      • cough or worsening of a previous cough
      • sore throat
      • headache
      • shortness of breath
      • muscle aches

      • nasal congestion/runny nose
      • hoarse voice
      • diarrhea
      • unusual fatigue

EDIT: According to @nsgov on Twitter, Dr. Strang will be addressing this in today's briefing. Stay tuned.

The number of recovered cases has decreased by one; I'm assuming this is related to the false positive that was reported yesterday: Dr. Strang indicated that the person had tested negative, positive, and then negative so the case would have been included both in positive cases and recovered cases.

What we really don't need is somebody like the dumbass in northern NB who started their current outbreak. Unbelievable. They should be held legally accountable in some way.

100% ok with someone being fined if they don't post-travel self isolate. With the US still having such high infection numbers, self isolation is critical if we are ever to do have regular cross border traffic with them again :(

A family member that works in healthcare said they the person will likely be terminated from their position (code of ethics violation), and should someone die from the infection they brought back, they could potentially be charged with manslaughter.

I doubt it'd actually happen, but they should definitely be held accountable.

Something I found really strange was that of the 1000+ cases in ns, I don't know of a single person either directly or through a close contact of mine who was infected. Yet with the mass shooting a month ago, of the 22 victims I had a close contact to two of them. No tinfoil hat theories, just strange.
