Wearing a mask, policing an internet forum and yelling at conservatives while looking down on those who disagree with you ain't gonna do much!

Easy now, I have been clear of there (Navy) for quite awhile now. 8 years or so i guess?

I'm not saying that about the goggles/masks because of something I read on facebook either. Masks that are properly fitted, properly handled, cleaned or sanitized or whatever should be done would be great. That's not really how a lot of people were using them.

Seems like I’m seeing less masks now than before. We were in Truro for a cheer competition on the weekend and saw very few masks there (which didn’t surprise me) but as the days go by seems like less people are wearing them

I'm guessing you're gonna see them slowly trickle away as people get lazy.. probably pick back up again when the next Covid flare up hammers us. Kind of unnerving to see Shanghai, China going into a massive lockdown for mandatory testing because of another outbreak.

Being 1000 pers short you would always be welcome back...would just have 500 harassment DL courses to complete.

Has anyone been going without their mask? I find every place is so different. I've gone to a few places without, but I always have one in my pocket just in case.

I'm just sticking with the habit for now. It's effortless and will reduce my chance of getting a cold/flu/covid so works for me. Right now I know more people with Covid than I have during the whole pandemic so that kind of leads me to believe that the pandemic didn't go away when the gov't lifted the mandates lol

Everywhere I have been so far in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts...no masks anywhere.

I felt odd so I stopped wearing mine unless I am somewhere super sketch.

I haven't been wearing one unless the place I'm going requires it, so I keep one on me just in case. Otherwise I am comfortable without it.

I'm still wearing mine - as it is still required in Quebec, but I wore it last weekend when in Ontario.

Why? In Quebec there were 2300+ new cases today - which is still high, but here's the kicker: 2300 new cases that we know of. Access to PCR testing has dropped off drastically, and you don't report your self test results. So less people are being tested and the numbers are still high.

What are the reported cases like where you live, are they any better/worse/about the same as six months ago?

I haven't worn mine at all since getting here... hopefully don't end up paying for that.

I'm guessing if they released case numbers here they'd be off the charts. It seems to be everywhere. I know four or five people right now that have it. That being said, most are having a fairly easy go with it so that's good. If all we are left with is weak variants then we should be fine.

I’ve been feeling pretty shitty since the weekend, kept testing negative. Last night my throat was a little scratchy so I tested, thing was positive almost immediately. Took another to verify because it was so fast, same thing. Feeling like a complete bag of shit today, absolutely no energy, body / muscle soreness, headache, and completely stuffed up sinuses. Progressed rather quickly. Went for a PCR confirmation at 9 this am and just doing that basically did me in. The wife and two girls are still testing negative so far
Those that have had it, when did the symptoms seem to peak?

You're likely peaking now. For me it was always a slow onset. As if I was fighting it off. Then it would hit like a train. Down for 24 hours...And the next day I was on the mend.

It's also weird we're at the highest numbers ever but taking all the restrictions away Ontario is in a provincial election year so it checks out

I... have a confession to make. Tonight I drove to Ontario and shopped in both Crappy Tire and KFC and... DIDN'T WEAR A MASK.

My fuck it felt good to not have to wear one in public for a change.

Mind you, if it were actually busy at either location that mask would have come out in a jiffy.

At one point we were a shining example of tackling a pandemic, now we are basically Alberta open for summer. Hopefully we don't repeat your outcome :(
