Hopefully the voluntary masking helps us keep the next wave (I hate that term now) a bit less of a hit
I will admit that if I see someone now without a mask on, my brain is instantly going to think they a card carrying freedom convoy member and they are of below average intelligence
Not everyone is as intelligent or privileged or elite as you. Best to make sure they know their place and have designated times to gather their food stamps and collect their kraft dinner and hot dogs to feed their undesirable far right offspring.
I wore the masks but I hated them. They really seemed to to affect my balance when walking. I think it was because I couldn't just glance down and see the placement of me feet when I was walking made me very unsure of myself.
I have gone from initially celebrating being able to go in stores, etc without masks to now wearing them again - mostly to support my kids who are still wearing them to school even though mandates are gone. And, Boots , from the other side of things - when I did go into the store without my mask on, I 100% felt like I was being judged by everyone around me. It's going to take a long time to figure this out moving forward.
I read an article yesterday about population decline in Alberta amongst young folks - one of the primary issues being that young people are more progressive thinkers and wanting to get away from the Conservative strong-hold.
You are absolutely right those are not choices. Getting a vaccine is a choice the government has no RIGHT to make a person get that vaccine if they don't want it. If you NEED it for work and don't get it you lose your job, simple, I have a cousin who lost his very well paying gov job in Ottawa because he WOULDN'T get the shot. He is an idiot. My body my choice to get this vaccine not the governments. I don't see the problem with this? So who decides who can use what, You? WokeAndrew? Hardcore Liberals
yeah this is the weird thing... not wearing a mask now is almost a political statement. What a stupid world we've created for ourselves.
I am not wearing one everywhere I go if I am going to a crowded store yes I wear one if it's a small store a usually don't. I hardly ever go out at all though but most places I have been I have not seen a lot of people wearing masks other than store staff.
If everyone is wearing masks, nothing, if not...then COVID. COVID can enter your body through your eyes. That said, mask is the level of risk I am comfortable with.
Nope, not hazmat suit, but if a people were wearing eye protection, there would be a few less people that don't make it. afterall, it's just a set of goggles, pretty simple isn't it?
Most of the high risk folks actually wore protective face shields/eyewear. Still are in some really high risk areas (healthcare/dentistry/etc) We get it though. You've been terribly inconvenienced having to deal with a global event as a cohesive unit. I hope we can count on you more should this Russia war crack off into something more substantial.
I don't feel as tho 'we' have dealt with this as a 'cohesive unit'. If we had there wouldn't have been outbreaks caused by people not following insolation requirements. I'm not entirely sure what the bit about the Russian war is even about, but please, enlighten me as to what your substantial role would be other than hiding in a basment wearing abit of cloth on your face clicking away at a keyboard.
Aside from the noisy minority of pro pandemic folks most people handled the pandemic like good Canadians acting as one to do what we needed to do to control the spread.
As well... maybe it's because i'm simple, but i don't see your substantial efforts in relation to what you said about Ruissa
It's more accurate than anti-vaccine. I didn't answer because I have no idea what you're talking about in regards to my substantial efforts if a war with Russia happened. If Canada faced any threat, I would do as much as I could to help protect it.
