Don't suppose anyone still plays? Would be neat to play with some RC'ers.

    Source, in particular.

I've always wanted to install this one and try it out, but never have.

I play 1.6 (it's better). It's the only game I play, tbh.. on any platform.

I just purchased the full Counter Strike pack on Steam - jumped into some games in Source and just kept dying - been a while since I've played any game like this, but had a blast.

How do you get something other than a handgun at the beginning of a level?

On CS:Source press B for the buy menu. Not sure what it is in the original or CS:GO. I do play CS:Source once in a while but its pretty random. No mic use either since we moved the computer in to the living room. I would drive the wife nuts..

ah, I see. I managed to get a few kills the last few times I played, but definitely at the bottom of the standings!

Only $14.95 for Counter-Strike "Complete" with 1.6, CZ, Source and the new Global Offensive! What's your account name?

Pick it up and play again! Great game that is still fun to play years later! Let me know your steam name, if so.

Dude, this game takes patience. But what I've found that even new players find it to be alot of fun even when they aren't exactly lighting up the "scoreboard" with a great K/D ratio.

CS is nothing like Call of Duty. You don't respawn in 5 seconds - and in this case, that's a good thing. You have to play more strategically and it adds a level of intensity other games lack. Not to mention, COD feels easy after playing CS. I don't know if it's because I've been gaming a while, but I've picked up COD games and been #1 in matches in the first or second rounds.

Regardless, CS is tons of fun whether you're good or bad. I told my sister (not a gamer by any means) to sit down and try playing a few rounds. She just had a beautiful baby girl a few months ago and when the baby is sleeping, I'll come home from work and she'll be on my computer, playing CS. My 60 year old father even plays on his own computer.

i got it hte day before at $9.99 - still a good deal.

I tried Global Offensive last night. The upgraded graphics are nice, but I found it about 20x harder.

I am looking forward to trying global offensive. Bought it last night. I remember source being hard when I first tried it too. I still haven't tried the first cs and probably won't.
