Yikes. When Boo was a pup we were in the front yard playing and we noticed a bald eagle circling above us. It was trippy as hell!

Jesus. Our friends on the farm have a yorkie who runs loose when they're outside. This is a constant worry

Yea, if the owners are there it isn't as big of a deal, but the vet said to not have the smaller dogs outside alone, especially at night.

Little Ryker was adopted by a young guy this morning, seemed to take to him pretty quick. I was working from home all day, so I was able to see him off, wasn't as emotional as I figured it would have been, so that's good.

We now have Diamond, she is a lab/pitty cross. I assumed her last home was shitty because the owner went to jail and his mom had to surrender her and his other dog, and her goofy name. To my surprise, she is very well mannered, trained etc. So I shouldn't have prejudged so much, even jail bound folk can be good owners, well before they end up in the clink anyway. She leaves the cats alone, gets along with Brady, and is a cuddle bug. She will make a great addition for someone.

I guess the big pit bull she came in with, is an asshole, but she corrects him and he cowers. It wouldn't be fair to her to be limited be him. She is so sweet, a good guard dog too. She has a pretty deep bark.

Diamond was adopted by a lady and her two young boys and they were super excited to get her. I am pretty pumped for her, she is an awesome pup.

Just picked up Roxie, she is a gorgeous pup. She was a backyard breeder special, had horrible hip dysplasia and was having a difficult time managing. The family planned to euthanize her so SCARS took her in. She had surgery and her demeanour changed almost immediately, she might not be pain free ever but is much better.

She is pretty skinny right now because of the surgery, my guess would be in the 60-65 range and will likely put on 10 lbs. She is tall.

Shepherds have been my favourite dog for as long as I can remember. Here she is with Brady. She is starting to pick up on his chill, hoping she copies.

She pulled the blanket on herself, she's doing great, can handle the stairs with ease, and is getting better with the cats.

Well, it was kind of a sad day yesterday but happy at the same time. Roxie was adopted yesterday to a great couple and she really took to them. She was pretty selective on who she liked.

It is the time of year where the rescues are full so we went right out and got another guy. I will get some pictures tonight, he doesn't currently have a name but he looks like a Staffy/black lab mix.

We actually ran into our old foster and her adopted family on the weekend. was nice. New lot of dogs coming up in June. Not sure we're going to foster again or not. Depends on our camping schedule.

We take ours with us camping. I get up early and walk them before the rest of the camp ground is awake.

not sure that would work with us. Usually the dogs that come need to get to the vet for a spay/neuter then a few weeks of quiet time. So depending on when we're gone, I wouldnt be able to get them there kinda thing. But we'll look at the dates and such, see what happens.

Yea the vet is 3 mins from our house, the new trailer is big enough that they can chill inside and not be in the way. We haven't run into it yet where it has been an issue.

So we now have Hank,he was neutered yesterday so he is a little more calm. He peed on lots of stuff, inside and outside but that happens. What's fucking hilarious is he lifts his leg to shit. He pooped on someone's decorative bolder, a rose bush and my fence. I can't get mad because I am usually laughing my ass off.

So Hank got adopted the day before we left for Iceland, he went to a family who had a little guy who had crazy anxiety, goes to a special school, ect. Hank had very intense separation anxiety to the point where he really couldn't be left alone or he would hurt himself. (chewed through the crate and broke a tooth, and cut his face.) Outside of the crate he peed on everything.

This match is perfect as Hank can go to school with the boy and provides the boy with support, in turn Hank is always with him.

This was our 12 foster in 8 month so we are taking a little break to spend some more time with our dog, I think he was starting to feel like he was a second thought which really isn't fair. Hank was really difficult because one of us always needed to be home. We will likely start up again after a month or so.

Well our summer break lasted 5 weeks, which was nice, but the dub unit decided "we" were ready to foster again, which I am ok with. We now have Snowball, the family had to surrender him because they could not afford the surgery after he was hit by a car. The kids who had him bagged that we kept his name. I will be calling him snow or snowy, but he had surgery to fix his leg and is now with us. He is a great little dog so far.
