Well, Blue was adopted to a nice young couple we ran into in the off leash park. There was one lady and her 3 kids who showed up for the first meet and greet and it did not go well. The oldest kid was afraid of big dogs, Blue wasn't huge, but he has 60 lbs and about 15-20 lbs underweight because of his surgery. So she was terrified the entire time, and Blue was growling at their dog. Their dog shit on our rug, so the lady didn't give the dogs a chance to bond. She was gone in 15 minutes.

My dog and Blue bonded pretty well, so when the young couple came with their dog, the two of them were picking on the dog. Blue growled at the new dog at first but came around when I put Brady in a separate room. The couple stuck around for about 1.5 hours and Blue and their dog were playing by the end of it. I was happy he went to a good home, and we will likely see him at the park. My wife and the other girl have been chatting so I am sure I will get lots of updates. We decided that if for whatever reason they want to return him, that he is going to be our new dog. I don't see that happening, he is an awesome dog and I think the couple will spoil the shit out of him. His new name is Milo.

We have another dog, Teaghan, she is shepherd x, quite jumpy and doesn't really get along with the cats. She is learning that cats are fucking evil and will beat the shit out of you regardless if you have 50 lbs on them or not. I will get some pics tonight if I can get her to sit still long enough. She has ADD I am pretty sure, if that is even a thing for dogs.

If they are all evil, they worship Duggan's cat.

Yea I would put her up against a dog three times her size, and bet copious amounts of money on her. She had the pitbull cowering, Brady has 70 lbs on her and he steers clear.

It really is Kim, some of the dogs aren't as good as others in terms of behavior, so there is some training on out part. We get the final say as well, so we know they are going to a decent home.

This is Teagan, she is pretty jumpy and loves giving kisses, to the point it's kind of annoying. We are working with her though. Hopefully we find a home before we go away. If not she goes to the pet resort, which is pretty sweet in itself.

Well, after coming home at lunch yesterday to a scene out of Scarface, or at least so it seemed, we got the house cleaned and ready for Teagan's meet and greet. She took a big bag of flour out of the pantry and proceeded to tear it open. There was a Tony Montana size mound on her bed, and a trail over to it.

Her meet and greet went really well, and the people adopted her last night. Stars were kind of aligned because we take off tonight for CR, so this way she wasn't bounced to another foster home while we were away. This is # 8 since we started doing this in August. As tough as it is giving them up, knowing 8 dogs got a new lease on life is pretty rewarding.

Should have some new pups in 2017, so I will keep you guys up to date. See ya next year RC.

Alright, so new year, new challenge. This little guy was found by an EMT on the side of the highway. Super skinny, and basically left for dead. He was brought to the rescue and needed a home. This is the first puppy we are taking on for any amount of time. Wife unit had him into the vet, so they are going to test for Parvovirus. He was stinky as Big Foot's dick, so he had a bath last night and was then prime for some couch time. He is pretty snuggley, he fell asleep on my lap.

Ryker had a meet and greet this am, sounds like it went really well and the guy will be picking him up after his vet check.

Puppy experience was pretty good, I likely pee on the floor as much as he did.

We are actually keeping Ryker another week. He is getting his balls removed next week, the rescue (obviously) doesn't adopt out unaltered dogs. He is putting on some size, he was only 7lbs when we got him, I think he is probably closer to 12lb now. Good thing, one of the neighbours' dog was attacked by a Great Horned owl, tried to scoop the dog from the yard, portly bastard was lucky he had the extra pounds.
