not sure if this is music or tech... but yeah, I figure its time I dig the guitar out of the storage closet and get some sarah-feel-good-time going on. I used to have a cheap guitar amp my dad had sent me, but it shitted out. Any recommendations? I'd like to spend as little as possible with still having enough quality that I am not entirely wasting my $$

Walmart sells a nice tiny amp for about $30, if I wasn't given the amp I have I'd buy one of those ones.

I sold it to him for a beege, so he probably doesn't want much more than that for it.

I have a Fender Frontman 10G. nice little amp, with reasonable options. I like that is has Gain on it, so you can get that "rock" sound as well. Good for small places, and can still belt out quite loud.

I picked up a used one at Music Stop here in Halifax. 85$ for a Roland Cube 15. Other then it being a little dusty, its an awesome little amp. Loud as hell with decent effects.

I just bought (for my Xmas present) a Roland Cube 20x - it's a great amp with lots of fun features. I also bought a Godin Exit 22 (new - beautiful mahogany guitar)and a used Godin Freestyle Classic guitar (prototype, limited production). Lots of amps on Kijiji for sale.

Cube all the way.. I have a 30x. They sound fantastic for little amps and have some modelling built in for some extra options. They are a bit more costly than the really cheap ones, but once you hear one you'll understand that its worth it. I also liked the sound of the little Marshall MG10, its in the $100 range IIRC.
