It's not so much that the sun makes it hard to sleep, but that my body doesn't realize it's that late until after the sun goes down
The first day here was brutal. My flight got in around 10 PM, I had just spent like 12 hours on planes and in airports, my body was telling me it was 1 AM because of the time difference, but it was bright as day outside
I'll be on my 7th airplane in less than a month later this morning. Not a ton for people who travel a lot but most of those flights have bookended a week away from home - been tough on family time! Just down for a day and then next flight is back to NS for a bit which I can handle!
The first time I was ever on a plane was when I was about 12. I didn't step on another plane until I was almost 31, and in the last 2 and a half years I've flown to Alberta 4 times. By the time I fly home from this trip I'lll have been on 24 separate planes in 2.5 years. One of these days I'll manage to get on a plane going further south, instead of north and west lol.
At least living on the West Coast now, my flights are "easy". Heading to San Jose today which is < 2hrs and one flight as opposed to when I used to have to do that from the East coast and it was multiple flights and basically all day. It was actually supposed to head down early and then fly back tonight, but my schedule didn't work out.
you need me to run by the house and check on Lori?
No need, I just did
I'm currently 2 hours north west of you. I can't sleep either.
Every time I come to Alberta for work I feel more and more like I'm going to end up moving here.
With that being said, 1 week from tomorrow and I'll be sleeping in my own bed
We're shipping your bed to Rainbow Lake.
So, what you're telling me is that my bed is only 6 hours away from where I am now?
A bird in a tree landed a direct hit on my head this morning walking the dog.
Good luck apparently
The far side, haven't seen those in a while
waiting on a package from the states. tracking info has it as "Your item is being processed by customs in CANADA at 8:54 am on May 21, 2017"
10 days and nothing new, anyone know of a number to call to see the status?
Always loved it.
Depends on how it's being sent, but if it's going USPS you can try them but you probably won't get too far. Often once it hits customs it doesn't change until it shows up and at that point the tracking number shows as invalid. That said, sometimes the USPS number will work on Canada Post but it's more an exception than s rule.
Picturing this kind of made my day lol
I am gardening up a storm today
I think anyone with their windows open got a good chuckle out of my reaction. I know Sue sure did, she was pretty much in stitches laughing when I came in the back door.
Also, my mom hasn't stopped calling me shithead since. #momjokes < #dadjokes
Boots - petition to change Relentless' username to shithead.
How about an actual avatar instead
I'm sick. Who the fuck gets sick this time of year?
I rarely get ill, but my sweet jesus, this one sucks. First time I've missed work time due to illness in probably 8-10 years. Went home early yesterday and spent some quality time on the couch...
Just finally clearing up from early May sickness...
I had a chest cold last month that only lasted a few days but left me with like 2 weeks of coughing at night when I laid down to go to bed. Annoying as hell.
Starting a small living room renovation today. I'm going to have drywall and other scraps to get rid of.
Can I just throw this loose on the back of my truck and take it to the land fill? Or does it all have to be bagged?
Is your truck covered? You need to make sure nothing blows out of your truck.
I'm not 100% sure but if my memory is correct, construction materials like drywall have to go to a separate spot, otter lake dump won't take them.
I'm thinking there's a spot by John Ross and Sons on that road just off the Bay Road
Don't hold me to this though
I seem to recall that too. I'm not entirely sure where to take it. I'll have to ask my brother, he's in the garbage business.
My truck is not covered, I'm not worried, nothing is gonna fly out.
