I knew from a very young age that I didn't want children either. Growing up watching how my brothers treated my Mother probably had a lot to do with it. Luckily I found a fella while in university that pretty much felt the same way as I did about children. We filled our house up with animals - 3 dogs and 2 cats currently. My mother was glad that I knew what I wanted and didn't allow others to try to change my mind. Not sure if my Mother-in-law is so happy about a house brimming with children of the 4 footed persuasion.

My mother in law harbours a passive aggressive dislike.

I told her she should go to her son and give him an ultimatum to choose one of us lol

I was 30, and had 3 kids when I got snipped. The doctor didn't have to think twice about allowing it

Not going to lie, unmarried you might have some problems. I have friends who've been trying for a while and haven't found a doctor who'll say yes yet.

I'm lucky that I've had my doctor since I was 20, and have been asking her for ten years

Yeah, it's not something a lot of doctors would just say yes too unless it is absolutely necessary. I've had my GP since I was a kid, so maybe if I start bugging him now he will allow it some day.. haha

Everyone I know with a 10 year old and then a baby also has a story about that "one night" they had a little but too much to drink and figured they didn't need birth control any more.

Holy shit I'm dumb! At first I thought Smokey was happy that he didn't have to get up early or something and take his kids swimming. It took me until Scott's post to figure out what the hell you were talking about!

I thought people would get a chuckle out of it, and hey, we all need a little lighthearted laughter every now and then.

When my son was 10 I said I would not have more children because I did not want to "start over". But now that my son is older, I am married, etc .... I am rethinking my options...

I've also come to realise you're never really "done", it is just different... lol

anyone else sign up for the airmiles rewards surveys?
seems like a scam, always get about 90% through the survey and they say they have all the participants needed and cut me off.

Seems a common tactic. Offer you a significant reward for participating in something, but they need to ask you some "qualification" questions first. But the qualification questions are the real survey, so you never actually qualify for the reward.

I'm in Grande Prairie for work (again). This time for 4 weeks, 1 down already. It's probably going to take me the remaining 3 weeks to get used to the sun setting at 10 PM. It's nice, but man does it fuck with your sleep.
