The CTV reporter just said, "People in small towns are more close knit than bigger cities. You bonk at your neighbours as you drive by." Bonk? I'm assuming that's along the lines of beep or honk... Is that him misspeaking or an actual term?
I would assume it's honk as the b and h on the keyboard are on top of each other. Simple typo on the cue cards?
My mom HATED living in small towns (like milk river, AB)... she said that if you didnt wave and smile everytime anyone drove by or when you saw them, the entire town would be talking about you. I prefer to be around people that have better things to talk about As far as bonk... this is the first definition google comes up with
It's illegal to honk at people in Antigonish, unless of course it's used for safety reasons. As far as neighbours "bonking" according to Thunders definition, they do not do that....or at least I don't with my neighbours. So we are a small town but I guess not that tight knit....
i honk at people all the time and scare the hell out of them..usually because they cut me off or step out in front of me like i can stop in less than 1/3 mile. air-horn ftw.
