Why would you get a bike from the US when there are so many for sale around here?

Not to mention the fact that bikes are cheaper in Canada then they are in the US. (Much like most cars actually.)
Most of the people on the US bike boards are all trying to get Canadian bikes down to the US because it's so much cheaper.

Is it some unique customized bike or something?

its not unique or anything, just looking at some newer CBR's and stuff on ebay and quite a few seem to be going for less than local bikes... ie. 2001 CBR600 going for $3000 american

If it went for $3000US, then it was severely broken, damaged, high mileage or something else was generally wrong with it.

Like I said, bikes in Canada are cheaper then in the US.
Hell, I had a few people in the US looking into importing my bike.

Actually.. I've got a 2002 CBR600F4i, only 2800km, w/ Clifford alarm, just winterized it (changed oil, stabilized fuel etc.) for $8500. :)
