    What is the competition though?

Eastlink base (50 down 5 up vs Fibreop 100 down 30 up) is $95.34 tax in from their website.

    Apparently we're also losing Spike.
·As of May 12, 2016, Big Ten Network (part of the Sports 2 Theme Pack) BET and Spike will no longer be available on Bell Aliant FibreOP TV

Saw that on my last bill. Less channels, more fees! YAY!
Add this to Speed Channel disappearing and no Fox Sports to replace it.

Apparently they can put you on a list to not get charged for the monthly long distance fee. I called and told them I don't use long distance on my home phone at all, so it's silly for me to pay this fee, and they said "oh, we'll make a note not to add that then. Just if you use LD, it'll be $0.20 instead of $0.05." Fine by me, thanks.

Since my bell 2 year is up in a month, how should I go about negotiating with the next one?

I am moving to the house we bought in late june and will be needing to move my service regardless.

Currently, the total on my bill for the past 2 years has been $142 for Fibre op, TV and landline. Was a deal that got us a free 42 inch TV

Interesting workaround. I did not get the answers I wanted from customer service from Bell or Eastlink. I ended up calling the guy who gave us the deal door to door since I had his number in my cell. He said if my fiancee signs up as a new customer, he can give us that $129/mth rate for 2 more years since we are moving to a new house and my name is on the current bill.

Eastlink ALMOST matched, but fell a bit short at $139/mth.

Anyone else have specific salesmen's phone numbers who will broker deals?

If I can find a better one, I will. Rather, my fiancee will

I just call them and tell them I need to drop services as my bill's too high. They knock around $40 a month off and life goes on for another year.

Exactly, it's a Bell (fibreop) guy making offers to Eastlink customers to get them to switch to Bell
