The Bluenose Autosport Club presents The Snow What Navigational Rally 2009 Supplementary Regulations Saturday February 28, 2009 The Rally will be held under the General Competition Regulations of the Canadian Association of Rally Sport and the Rally Regulations of Atlantic Region Motor Sports Inc.. This is the 2nd event in the "A.R.M.S./C.A.R.S." Navigational Championship and is the 1st event in the BAC Club Championship. Take the road on the left between the Irving and Shell Service Stations at Exit 14 and just past the Comfort Inn on the right is the new Vantage Motors location. Finish Location: Pizza Delight, Robie St., Truro, at Exit 14. Food will be available at the Finish. Fuel is available within a 100 meters of the finish. Schedule: Registration Opens: 1400 Novice Rally School: 1430 Driver Briefing: 1500 Registration Closes: 1530 Car "0" Starts: 1530 Car "0" Finishes: 1915 approx. Classes: Novice (beginner) and Experienced. There will be a maximun of 10 cars per class so enter early to get a spot. **** Note - The 3 crew teams competing for the BLM Shield must be declared to the organizer prior to the start of the Drivers Briefing. **** Awards: TBA Cost: $30.00 - Regional Entries per vehicle registered on or before February 24th. $40.00 - Regional Entries per vehicle registered after February 24th. $30.00 - Novice. Please make checks payable to "Bluenose Autosport Club" There will be a draw for starting positions on February 24th from early registrations. ** As per ARMS Rule 9.1.1.1 if there are not 4 Regional Teams registered by February 25th the rally will not run as a Regional Rally . One member of each team that has already registered will be notified by phone if this happens, it will also be posted on the BAC Web Site and sent out in a general E-Mailing. ** Description: This event is a Regional Navex Rally, over Paved and Good Gravel Roads, with relatively easy instructions and the speeds are brisk but at no time greater than 90% of the posted limits. This is not a car breaker. All of the route can be found on Topograph maps 11E06 and 11E03. You will visit an area between Truro and Elderbank and between Maitland and Middle Stewiacke. Length: Distance: 192 KM approx. Time: 3:45 hrs approx. Eligibility: 1/ Vehicles must be Licensed and Insured, 2/ Vehicles must be Road Worthy and Safe, 3/ Vehicles must possess a valid Motor Vehicle Inspection if required by Province of registration, 4/ Regional Competitors must possess a Basic Competition Licence, included in "ARMS" Club registration, 5/ Drivers must possess a valid Drivers Licence, Insurance Waivers: 1 - Crew members must sign a CARS/ASN CANADA/FIA rally waiver at registration before the start of the rally or risk disqualification. 2 - Anyone under the age of majority in the Provance of Nova Scotia must have a Parental Waiver signed by both parents or guardians, in order to participate in any form. The last 3 events of the 2008-2009 BAC RallyCross series are coming up! We finish off the series with a string of gravel (And probably some mud) flinging at Scotia Speed World on March 29th (this Sunday!) April 5th and 19th! C'mon out!
