that's one hella nice manifold!
Holy crap.. I wonder if he's the first person to get numbers like that off of a street car setup. Amazing.
I doubt it, I don't think he is street driving it at 30psi either.
not at all lol
It's at 30 PSI? How do you know? I like at the end when buddy gives it to her while it's idling, everyone runs out've the shop
Why wouldn't he drive it on the street at 30 psi? I mean, honestly, whats so rough about that? Friend of mine has a Supra that he drove all day everyday on the street close to 20 and his friend drives an AWD Talon that is closer to 25 psi.
I'm waiting for someone to say it. . . .
I don't imagine he can run pump gas at that boost level.
You go drive a 1.8L engine making 700hp with the power curve it's going to have on the street, then you come back and tell us why....
Never mind the cluth you'd need to handle it...
Oh, and to directy answer your other question... Supra = RWD, Talon = AWD, try running that through the front wheels and keep it driveable...
Hey, Redshift! I live your answer. . . I was waiting for someone to say you couldn't drive it on the street cause it was 700 horsepower and thats not street legal.
Well, I try not to come back with the obvious answer.
... and street legal?
If it can slip through an MVI, then it's legal.
Dude!!!!! Oh my god?!?!? You are like one of the very few people who actually know the truth!!!! You are amazing! Lololololol. . . I've listened to and read people all the time go on about how anything over 600 hp is not street legal. . . . and you are right, how many MVI shops have Dyno's? You can have as much hp as you want. . .and besides. . . if you've ever driven anything over 600 horsepower, you realize how much of crime it would be to make it non street legal.
Bwahhaa... thanks man! I like to think I'm alright.
I've never driven anything with that much power, but I it's just a matter of time.
Most powerful car I've driven is a Viper GTS ACR... but that was on a track, not a road.
... and last time I checked, the MVI didn't have a road-test...
I've not heard one person in my life think that horsepower has anything to do with a safety inspection.
I would love to know what your buddy has done to run that much boost?
I have hit 25psi in a spike in my talon, but 25psi constant on pursumed stock fuel system, and 91 octane = one big bang theory.
Stock fuel system, NO WAY! I dunno what he has done, or how much money he has sunk into the thing. . . but he does have a lot of money into the car. He's been at it on and off for the last five years or so, and when it comes to money, its guy spares nothing. I mean, that civic was running close to 30 PSI and it holds, does it not? Whats to say that this guys Talon doesn't have that much work in it that it can hold 25? I've been in the car, I've seen it get up to 25 under hard acceleration, and yes he is adding a lot of additive to the thing. Its his baby, and he pumps the cash into the thing. His friend has a small fortune into his 88 supra, and last time to the track, it ran a low 13 and that was after it blew the number 5 cylinder and blew off the oil feed line on the turbo.
And Boots, I didn't say that horsepower had anything to do with inspection. . .I've heard so many people go on and on about how cars that are big in horsepower are not street legal, and for the longest time I've listened to people ramble on about how anything over 600 horsepower was not street legal. . . I know that hp has nothing to do with street legalicies or not. . . I've known of cars (locally) to be well over 700 and still driven on the street, and every day at that too, just hard on gas. lol
Back to the video fucking sweet. I see some more potential in that shop to.
The CRX with the clear/altezza tail lights?
I just wanna see the silver thing thrown back together with a stock front and rear bumper, no side skirts, and a half decent set of rims. That would be sweeeet. . . all except for the sound and wheels, sleep for sure.
