Kinda looks like fun
Not a chance! I'm barely coordinated enough to walk near a curb.
Must be a slow news day..... An old ladies radio doesn't work. Oh the humanity!!
She lives up the road from me. Ford has been dicking them around since they bought the car. They have run out of options and are stuck with a brand new car that's broken.
That would piss me off to no end.
It's a new vehicle and it doesn't work. Doesn't matter if it's the radio, air conditioner or the engine. Nor does her age or gender. If you bought a new car and the radio didn't work would you just shrug it off?
No, but I fail to see how one persons personal problem warrants a full news article about it!
Sounds like Ford is trying to figure it out, and I'm sure they'll do something about it once they decide on the proper way to resolve the issue.
The person felt that they were getting the run around so went to the media for help. It's not a story of one person wanting music, it's a story of a big company not helping. Do you really thing it would cost 2000 to replace the stereo? Take out the ridiculous markups from Ford and the dealer and it's a fraction of that. Add into the fact that the price shouldn't be a her problem and the bottom line is the dealership should try replacing it, or give her the working vehicle. Why should the buyer worry about the dealership installing a 2000 item to try and fix it, when they don't care that she spent 25k?
So the dealership should just eat the $2000 and put a new radio in anyway? After Ford Canada has specifically told them not to? Good luck with that!
"Some 2016 Escape vehicles equipped with AM/FM/CD or Sync with a 4.2 inch screen may exhibit a blank screen and no audio after a crank event [turning it on]. Engineering is currently investigating this concern through the quicker service fix (QSF) process. Until a new service procedure and/or parts are available do not attempt repair."
They're working on it. Her car is brand new, and has all kinds of warranty. I'm certain once Ford has determined a fix she will be taken care of.
The dealership should be going out of their way to make up for selling her a brand new car with a broken radio and making her wait 4+ months to fix it. Service credits or something.
Why the he'll shouldn't the dealership eat 2000 bucks? They are the ones that sold a broken product. There's three parties involved and the ONLY one of those three that should not have to be suffering from this is the customer. Did Ford know about this problem before she bought the car? Most likely. Would they have communicated it to their dealerships in a TSB? Most likely. Did anyone tell the customer that this could be a problem before she bought the car? Obviously not. The dealership sold her the car, so they can work with the manufacturer to make themselves whole but it should not be the customer's problem.
it's just hurry up and wait and if you don't hear from us soon, wait longer.
If you bought a TV and the speakers didn't work, how long would you wait if bestbuy told you that the manufacturer knows it's happening but they are working on getting it fixed and when they figure it out they'll let you know?
Got someone a little fired up today I see!
No, I think it's moronic to think that the customer should be the one suffering. I'm not the one who got worked up enough to make a post about the poor old lady not having her radio. This is completely a case of "fuck the little guy" which is simply not right.
Well enough of that foolishness.
Something for Squashtowner .... wonder if it still works!
ISIS is a military embarrassment
I'm confused. When do they get to fuck the goat?
And yet they keep winning territory.
You sure? Last I read, they are in shambles... losing tons of territory, running low on recruits and losing income rapidly.
Fair enough. Sounds like the experienced troops aren't in high numbers anymore. Someone won the terriroty to begin with, though.
