Please consider joining the Facebook page to stay up to date on their journey: http://www.facebook.com/pages/APAC-Varadero-Canadian-Branch/86823248429?sk=info APAC was originally a joint Cuban and Swiss project. Since August 2009, APAC-Varadero is incorporated in Alberta under the Societies Act (no: 5014847809) Company Overview We are a branch of the APAC-Varadero/Aniplant organization in Cuba (Association for the Protection of Animals Cuba-Varadero). APAC-Varadero is registered in Alberta, Canada under the Societies Act. DONATIONS CAN BE MADE INTO OUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT, THROUGH OUR BLOG (see website below). At this point we don't issue receipts for the tax return purposes, as our budget is too small to register as charity. We are hoping to grow big enough soon - with your support. General Information Main activities take place in Varadero, Cuba, where a group of volunteer veterinarians performs spaying/neutering surgeries on homeless animals and companion animals. We also have several succesful adoptions to Canada and other countries. Due to transportation and communication restrictions we, at the present time, work in Matanzas province only. Mission Our mission is to control the overpopulation of homeless dogs and cats in Varadero area, through sterilization of the animals living on the streets of the city. Our second goal is to educate locals about benefits of spaying/neutering and preventing the unwanted litters of dogs and cats.
