anyone know where I can pick up something like the cokin series, with the exchange rate ordering from B&H adds up to be fairly expensive.

    this would be my setup:

Cokin Wide angle filter holder, 77mm adapter ring, a 0.6 and 0.9 soft edge filter.

Not sure about locally at APS or Carsand, but Henrys and the likes sell them online.

This isn't "Canadian" but I've ordered a bunch from them over the years. Pretty much what you are looking for now. Quick and you can get someone with a pulse to answer the phone and they're extremely helpful to boot. (Not toll free in Canada unfortunately). They carry the Cokin line and Hitech filters to fit for a VERY good price. I think it "might" change your mind about ordering from the States. Two weeks delivery door to door to Cape Breton . . Sydney area. Note: A while back a LOT of Cokin was backkordered stock. Everyone was out.

Have a look through this. There's only 8mm difference in the wide angle capability of the Pro versus the P holder. If you really "need" the difference then the Pro is the one for you. If you can get away with 28mm or less then the Hitech filter kits with the Cokin P holder might be cheaper. I've heard it said Cokin ND filters are NOT neutral but grey. The Hitech are true neutral color. Sometimes you have to add the item to the 2 filter cart to get the "true" price. When I got my B+W Polarizer there was quite a price difference between the posted price and that of the checkout. Good hunting . . .

hhhmmm... they have the P series holders and adapters, but I don't think they have the hitech brand filters. I'd definitely get the hitechs over the cokin brand filters, I have a bunch of the hitechs and recommend them 100%
