we got ours last Monday maybe. Federal government says Canada Post must deliver Epoch Times despite union objection | CBC News
weird, he had warrants and resisted arrest which is an additional charge, I thought conservative extremists were tough on crime?
Now don't take this the wrong way BUT. As opposed to what a Left "legit" newspaper? Again just playing devil's advocate he doesn't get out enough around here We get them here around election time with more Asian content or at least the last one I saw. I just throw them in the RV for campfire starter.
Even a newspaper that posts a lot of 'left friendly' articles still publishes lots of other content that is varied and would cross all political lines. This Epoch Times rag is just a propaganda piece. You'd struggle to find anything in it that doesn't have an agenda. I would think the left equivalent of this would be full of articles about how to properly choose your childs gender, how to find things to be offended about and 14 pages reserved for noting the names and addresses of legal firearm owners
Oh no I wouldn't even know where to look for a "Left" equivalent of that and if I did I would be scared to contact whoever was publishing it for fear they would think I was one of "Them"
LOL of taking the word of a verified epidemiologist over a family doctor of one year in a tiny town. #notrealexperience
I wasn't sure where to post this so thought this was a good spot. Good article on the Vaccine roll out in Canada. http://warrenkinsella.com/2021/01/my-latest-when-theyre-attacking-you-theyre-losing/
I don't know what the cause is, but I'd agree whole heartedly that I'm shocked at how slow the vaccine roll out here has been. We keep hearing numbers of doses available but we have to remember to divide that number by two for the actual number of people who will be vaccinated from those doses.
I think the cause is that we have no manufacturing capacity for vaccines so we are in line behind the countries that do. Speaks to our need to stop being so reliant on cheap overseas labour and manufacturer more at home.
I think there are multiple factors. Production, transparency, political infighting, agreements with manufacturers... I doubt there is one single cause.
Like Belgium? That is where our vaccines are coming from well at least the Pfizer ones. I don't know what the labour force is like there but I doubt it's any worse than here in Canada and could be better https://www.politico.eu/article/belgium-town-puurs-spotlight-coronavirus-vaccine/
I do agree we need to manufacturer more at home though. We need to manufacture more of everything at home.
I was under the impression that the fed govt was ramping up vaccine production here. Trudeau seemed to puff a lot of hot air around vaccines though.
Trudeau said it multiple times during his daily Covid updates that the government was supporting vaccine development and production efforts. I got the message that they were ramping up so when a vaccine was available it could be produced here. quick example here. Wasn't going to watch every one of his pressers but I know he pushed the message that we'd be ready to produce vaccines.
It would be easier to pay for if all that money being pushed out of the country was kept in here for Canadian needs...
Oh he is but nothing will be ready here until 2024 it's the government running the show so this is not going to happen fast and 2024 is the date now and I bet that moves even further out if it doesn't just stall. Their vaccine still hasn't gotten Health Canada's approval yet, it is currently under review. https://globalnews.ca/news/7561871/medicago-covid19-vaccine-tobacco/
Yeah and we see how that goes when people are expected to pay more to offset the pollution their consumption creates
Boots - Looks like they're handling the roll out with Tim Hortons: https://fb.watch/36TBxKEuCB/ (sorry for the FB link - this one isn't on Youtube yet).
And now NO Pfizer vaccines next week for Canada...This is turning into a major screw up and not looking good for Justin.
Not really sure you can blame the PM for this. We are at the mercy of the suppliers. Wouldn't matter who the PM is, they'd be dealing with the same shit unfortunately.
