What piracy? He's doing some development for our company and thus he can have a copy of our MSDN cd containing Win98.

When I bought the PC the license for 98 was included, I just misplaced my copy. The software is useless without the cd key, which I have a license for :)

Yeah, its a 233 I picked up 2 years ago for under a hundred bucks. I use it to run one program that is not very intensive. I tune my car with it. I don't think I need a top of the line $3000 laptop running XP to throw in my car and take tuning with me.

Regardless, thanks Boots and VK, the laptop is fuckered more than I thought and will not install any programs. Oh well, I got my maps so off to the garbage with it.

if yur seriously gonna throw it out, ill take it. i got a lot of spare parts floatin around and might be able to get it working. I promise not to sell it when im done. I'm working on making a laptop cluster and as long as it boots off a floppy i dont need a display or anything.

    I'll pick it up.

Yeah we can arrange something. the hd does have some bad clusters, which is most likely the cause of all the problems. Someone a bit more intimate with pcs would probably be able to fix it, but its just not worth it for me to fuck with it and i need to buy a new one anyway. So yeah, we can arrange something this week, I'm in Sackville. Send me a pm
