Holy fuck... I am in love with this car.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was my project car for the last year and a half. Now, I have no money to finish it, so it's up for grabs. This is a definitely a one of a kind car. The car is based on a '88 Honda CRX frame. However, almost 80% of all components are off a '94-01 Acura integra. Therefore I have named the car the IRX (Integra RX) Here are the modifications:

    Exterior:
94-01 Integra front end conversion (hood, fenders, bumper, rad support, headlights, clear turnsignals)
    94-01 Integra rear bumper
94-01 Integra clear taillights painted transparent red
90-93 Integra folding side power mirrors
Custom rear hatch (like a del sol/MR2)
    Wings West Integra Front lip
Wings West CRX side skirts and door mouldings
    New Windshield installed

    Interior:
94-01 Integra dash with GSR cluster and console
    94-01 Integra doorpanels
    JDM CRX SiR power windows
94-01 Integra seats (Custom to look like Type R but with blue stitching)
94-01 Integra armrest done like seats (blue Type R stitching)
Apexi VAFC custom mounted into center console
JDM Integra Type R steering wheel
JDM Type R style shift knob
    Short Shifter
    Re-located battery to rear

    Engine:
    HASport gen 1 mount kit
B20B engine block with B16A head and PR3 ECU
    New ARP head bolts
    New OEM Honda Headgasket
JE 9.0:1 pistons and piston rings
Eagle ESP rods (with ARP rod bolts)
    All new bearings
    Knife-edged and micro-polished crank
New timing belt and VTEC waterpump
    Custom catback exhaust
Single core 3x thick 92-95 civic style radiator
    K&N air filter
    New fuel filter
    Power steering conversion
Originally had A/C, but currently not hooked up.

    Suspension & Brakes:
94-01 GSR front strut tower bar
90-93 Integra Master Cylinder/brake booster and prop valve
    Crossdrilled rotors all 4 corners
    VIS Racing coil-overs
    94-95 Integra GSR rims
Pirelli P7000 195/50/ZR15 tires with 80-90% tread left

Things that have to be finished:
    - battery needs to be mounted and may need replacing
    - car is currently painted purple and but will need a new paint job
    - sunroof has some rust and needs to be fixed/painted
    - driver's side Wings West door moulding needs to be re-installed
    - rear glass needs to be installed
    - rear hatch may require new hatch supports
    - Power mirrors to be connected
    - engine is new and has not been broken in yet. I found that the engine does leak a little bit of oil. I suspect that the engine block will require re-surfacing (head already milled flat). However, the engine does start, and does fire up.
    - Some mouldings (weather stripping) need to be installed.
    - I'm sure I missed a few minor things

    Notes:
Once I planned on completing the car, I was going to turbo it. So I also have a turbomanifold, T3 turbo off Nissan 300Z and a HKS style Super Sequential Blow off valve available.

That thing is horrible.... the lines and proportions of the car are totally out of whack.. the Integra front end is MUCH too long ahead of the front wheels... not to mention the lines of the lights and everything else.

Plus, this guy doesn't seem to know all that much... he keeps using 94-01 Integra.. Stu correct my if I'm wrong, but the 'Teg was updated slightly in 97 or 98 wasn't it? The headlights were not as inset back into the facia, and a few other updates?

*cough* Cosmetically, The bumper style changed in 98, thats the one I have on mine.. That CRX has 94-97 front end on it.. Typically most parts will fit 94-01 tegs, but the difference in the front is the headlights are more round in the 94-97's and the 98+ has "Integra" engraved in the bumper (which is not there) however it looks like a 98-01 rear bumper on there..

Cool. Thanks Q.. I knew there was some cosmetic differences at least that would apply.
As I recall there were some engine mods as well (Different computer after 97 I think), but since he has a B20 in this, they don't apply.

The 96+ cars would be OBDII. Dunno that much changed after that.

yea, after 96 I believe it is, they got slower  I dont know what he's running for an ECU, my guess is he'd run Hondata or something with that setup.. I dont think a B16 ECU will cut it.. He would need something programable for those mods unless he's gonna 1/2 ass it, but a B20/VTEC isnt a 1/2 ass motor I dont think..

Someone was WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY too fucking lazy in making that. They for some reason, did not research into anything.

The front end is just hacked to shit to make it work. I have put a 90-93 teg front end onto my 91 Civic Hatch, and we had to MAKE front fenders for it to elimanate mismatch between body lines. Look at how those fenders come NOW WHERE'S NEAR close to lining up the doors!!! That is a hack job through and through. . . yuck!

It is a very hard front end swap to do. The 4 door tails in the rear of the car were actually easier to do.

I'm heading up there sometime this weekend, if not next week to work on it. I don't have any pics, yet. I had to get a front rad support cut back into the frame rails a couple inches to accomidate the longer front end. The teg front is 3/4" wider than the civic, the body lines are also different as well. We had to pretty much start at the front and chase it back. . . use the front half of the teg fenders, grafted to half of the civic fenders (cut through on angles so we could blend the body lines) and then pie cut the edges of the fenders by the door to pull it all together so I didn't have the half inch or so of overhang on both sides.

All in all, its a lot of work, and you reeeally have to get someone who has done custom work before to do it. If I knew how much work was involved to do it (and do it right) I probably wouldn't have done it. Most people just cut the 2nd gen teg headlights into the civic/crx front end, but I wanted to be original and put the whole front end on. I did it to be original, and not just cut tail lights, plus to say I have a teg hatch! lol I should have pics up soon.

The car in the pictures LOOKS alright, but they just cut a couple corners to get the thing to work out alright.

It is a different generation front end, but you can see where the front fender here doesn't match the body line of the car at all, and even has more of a bow to it then the door does. I had this same problem with mine before we decided to splice the two fenders together, plus, it eliminate the long in front, short in rear wheel well opening.

And in this pic, if you look, you can see how the fender hangs out, or is wider than the door. This was the problem that we ran into once we got the civic/integra spliced fender on. A LOT of pie cuts and patience with the fenders solved this problem though.

Honestly, I like the look of this car, think the tail lights look sweet, but, as mentioned, there are a couple little things that throw it off, and in the first pic that I posted, its sad to see how much the body lines are off, look at the reflection of the light!
