I went to a passport office here by the start of school so first week of September they told me I wouldn't get my passports till at least January
Yeah, took me 4 hrs waiting in line back in February or so when I did it. No appointments for months, so only option was standing in line and waiting for a cancellation.
i went in person in Edmonton a few months ago, as my flight to Central America was the next morning. Put me 3rd in line, had my passport by the afternoon
So, hi from Toronto. Been here since yesterday. Shocked and amazed at how smoothly things went: Nobody in front of me at check-in Roughly 5 minutes to get through security Not even 5 minutes to get my luggage at Pearson. Compare that to over an hour last time. Longest wait was the Tim's line.
...and back in Halifax. Got home last night. A few people in front of me at check-in. Probably 10 minutes. About the same at security. Got off the plane at Stanfield, went to the bathroom and by the time I made it downstairs my bag was on the conveyor.
Indeed. My previous trip was Westjet (was Swoop but had to switch over due to rescheduling, cancellations, etc). Hour long wait for baggage here and at Pearson. 2+ hours in the check-in line at Pearson as well. This trip was Swoop and I still can't believe how well it went.
Generally when I'm going through Pearson I look at where my plane is coming from and track it so I know if there's going to be a delay before any board/app tells you. Depending on your route or how many segments you have I also tend to try and get the first flight out in the morning, or pick a route where the plan got in the night before and my flight is it's first one out the next day. It can vary between 6-7am to 10am depending. Generally the biggest slowdown has been with baggage handling, so if you can get by with only a carry-on you'll generally be good.
It was as quiet as I've ever seen it. I was through security in maybe 3 minutes. No masks. Nobody swabbing me. Almost felt like how an airport should be. I was pleasantly surprised.
G/f just got back from medicine hat. Not issues going, or coming back. Both had stopovers in Calgary.
Headed to Montreal for a work thing on Tuesday. And flying....shudder... Air Canada. Crossing my fingers.
I know I've been around for awhile.... I can recall Leanne and babygirl and tall guy and coop and the post your boobs days.... and the Sunfire chick.... And how we used to be a car group and had our battles with a car club... But wasn't goodie with Judy? Unless I'm too old now and missed the name change....
Being from the Valley and growing up very close to the South Mtn, but not "The South Mtn", I am not even going to touch this one Oh what the hell hell, who wasn't with her
