No, not mapquest or similar sites. I want accurate & detailed road maps... if there is such a thing online. Or, do I have to buy MS Trips (I think that's the one) to get what I want?

I would *HIGHLY* recommend the Michelin Road Atlas! I get a new one each year, and they are very accurate and detailed.

I'm looking for a pc based program, Pat. So that I can print off a certain area, record specific locations, etc. Track distances all that good stuff.

My bad, should have read where you said "online." I use maps.yahoo.com but that isn't what you're looking for. I like that atlas to keep in my car, though.. it's absolutely awesome.

    Awww my bad

In that case buy a Garmin 76C or similar handheld GPS unit, get N.ACitySelect or Metroguide. You will then be "accurate." Ifyou chooseto, youmay hook the unit up to your laptop via usb orserial.

    ;)
