I have a small understanding of how this stuff works.

My questions is, if I have a CD burner and DVD burner on this computer, is it possible to burn these files in a format that will play on my PS2 DVD???

I've had ripped movies from the net before (Bruce Almighty) and it wouldn't play in my PS2, but did play on a regular DVD player.

Is this possible? Has anyone played any downloaded files on a PS2?

PS2 will play burnt DVDs fine... I use it as my primary DVD player. You gotta download DVD-R images though (~4.5GB) not VCDs.

So, I basically download DVD-R images via a Torrent website, burn them to an actual DVD (or can you use CD's?) and enjoy?

What about games? Do you have a lot of games you got through this method? I have a chip in the ol' PS2, but it's like a NEO 2.2 or something and it only plays DVD rips I believe.

Pussy :D :D Get on that, would ya!

I have a few rips at home that apparently came from the net (DVD format games on CD-R). New Nascar, Boxing, etc. They play on the PS2 (with chip), but there are parts missing like music and a few options. I need to do a disk-swap with a Gameshark disk to make them work. I'd love to know how to find older CD-rom format games that I could download straight to CD and play (or rips).

I'm sure you are familiar with all this anyway.......
