It’s been nice to see the little resurgence of activity around here lately. Unfortunately it seems to be stemming from the current pandemic and a little more since the passing of Linda.

We’ve all been around here a long time, and I’m sure a lot of us have had some big changes in our lives. So I thought it might be nice to kind of re-learn some things about each other with some simple questions.

    1. Are you married / engaged?

    2. Do you have children?

    3. What do you do for work?

    4. What is your favourite way to vacation?

    5. What are your hobbies?

    6. What other RC user names have you had?

    7. Besides necessities, what’s one thing you can’t live without?

    8. If you could have a 5 minute conversation with one person (living or dead), who would it be?

    9. What’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to and why?

    10. What’s your favourite dinosaur?

And tell us something random about you!

    4. What is your favourite way to vacation?

I've learned over time that it's not as much the destination as the people you're with. It's corny but I do a bunch of work travel and if I'm stuck on a layover somewhere, even if it's interesting, it is never as much fun as when I have the right people with me. I love the outdoors - we do most of our vacationing camping but also love a trip somewhere new.

    9. What’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to and why?

For work - Amsterdam. It is an amazing city with a ton of history. It's also always for a conference that is extremely interesting and that lots of industry friends attend every year.
For pleasure - My wife and I have done a couple of trips to both Napa Valley and the Walla Walla wine region in Washington. Both were amazing times, amazing wine, amazing food. Next trip to Walla Walla, I'm also bringing my bike.

    10. What’s your favourite dinosaur?

    Love Jurassic Park.

My wife watched a Youtube video and cut my hair for me. First cut wasn't perfect, second one was as good as the barber, IMO.

I've been cutting my own hair since 2010. I also cut the kids hair too. Every now and then I treat myself to a visit to the barbour shop. But I learned how to cut it when I was in the army, and have been doing it ever since. And NO it's not just a buzz cut. I fade it and everything

Cut mine for the first time two days ago. My barber opened on Monday, but has a line-up 15+ deep in the parking lot. They take your name on a list, and you go one by one. Guessing it'll be backed up for weeks, so I bought clippers.

I went "viking". Shaved the sides/back with a #2, and left my covid growth in the middle and slicked it back.

I usually go with either a #1 or #1.5 on the sides when I'm at my barber. Started with the #2 for safety's sake, and then was too lazy to go back over it with a shorter guard when I was done.

    Next time.

i've been cutting my own hair for the last 6 years. i've had a barber chair set up in the back yard for the last week cutting close friends and familys hair. i've gotten quite good with not cutting the mask straps in half with the clippers after a few fallen soldiers lol
