I rolled 250,000 KMs on the prelude. While I am proud of the shape that she has held up in for a 11 year old car, I am also sad that she is an old lady. How many clicks ya'll got on your rides? This be her:
I still have another 100k left in the old girl. Original everything pretty much. Only basic maintenance done to it (oil, axles, exhaust, brakes, timing belt -- only 'cos it was due, not b/c it broke). God love Toyota...invincible. Dad's Lincoln Town Car has 550 000km on it....his last one had 600 000 km on it when he sold it, still running with the new owner at 750 000km.
There was a Mercedes I read about a while back that went over 850K miles on the original motor... and a volvo that went past a million miles.
I know that one of the courier companies here in Halifax has a 89-91 civic with over a million kms on it.
93 Civic, 238k. Since I moved about a 10 minute walk from work the mileage has really slowed down though. I only rolled over 200k on Canada Day 2000 and there's a drive to Ottawa and back in there. Car is running better than ever though, wish it looked the same.
Tercels are tough as nails, mine had 415k when I sold it. Sunfire has 112k had 93k in June wont make it to 200k
48,000 But this one is worth mentioning. My grandmother lives in Toronto, scared to drive but still keeps her car for some reason. Anyway she has it serviced every 4 months, it's a 90 Accord with 4500km's on it! Dead serious, not 45 thousand...45 hundred on a 90!
Oh ive droped the suddle hints that "I really like her car, and it's too bad she doesn't drive it at all", but a 85yr old somtimes don't catch the hint
