I find two things weird about this story and it's not that a truck got stolen and torched.

    1. This is news? Just recently we've been seeing stories of vehicles being stolen, but why? Is stealing cars a new thing for Nova Scotia and it's so shocking that it needs news coverage across the board?

    2. When this particular story was originally posted, in a news publication, the owner didn't have a single picture of the truck, but instead provided a drawing. Not very often someone has a vehicle like that but no pics. Doesn't mean anything, just struck me as strange.

Any word of how it was stolen? Keys left in it? Hot wire? Towed?

I don't think they've really released any details other than where it was stolen from, and that it was found, burnt.

Suppertime from a Steak and Stein parking lot. With it being a Chev truck from the 70's, my guess is that you could jump in the drivers seat, sneeze, and it would start.

I do believe this truck belonged to a guy I know (or so I've been told) - Social Media shared the hell out of the photo and as such I'd say news agencies grabbed it and ran with it.

As already mentioned it likely fired right up without a key... those old Chevs were bad for that.

    Very very shitty :(

Yeah, when it was stolen it was all over social media...as mentioned, too juicy for news to ignore this one.

    Super sad outcome, gorgeous truck.

Dear criminals. Just set off a fire extinguisher inside. Much less destructive, still unable to fingerprint. Jesus NS car thieves are rookies.
