The 2nd Annual CPT Racing Experience presented by CASE ‘N DRUM OIL LP and Kendall Motor Oil is Saturday and Sunday, January 24 and 25, at the Western Fair Agriplex. The event is a production of the London-based event management company, CPT Entertainment Inc.

The CPT Racing Experience is a family-friendly motorsports-themed trade show that will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24 and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 25. The event will feature a wide variety of unique and interactive attractions.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon’s NASCAR Sprint Cup cars will be on display both days. The cars are actual race-used vehicles brought directly from Hendrick Motorsports in North Carolina. Guests may get up close to the cars and take photos.

A temporary go-kart track will be set up inside the Agriplex. Guests may try driving one of the karts with a donation to Jesse’s Journey. The track is sponsored by Demar Aggregates.

Fans can visit the Dickies Tire Change Challenge and try their hand at changing tires as a stock car pit crew would do. Each person who tries will be entered into a draw to win a VIP package for the Dickies 200 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race this summer at Mosport International Raceway. Other prize packages will be awarded for the fastest times of the weekend.

Kids and parents alike will love taking the wheel of remote-control stock cars at “NASCAR Bob’s” race track. They’ll also have the chance to seat behind the wheel of the Lucas Oil Racing Simulators.

Several regional racing stars will be in attendance and available to meet with fans, including NASCAR Nationwide and Canadian Tire Series driver DJ Kennington (Saturday) and IHRA Alcohol Funny Car star Paul Noakes (both days). A wide variety of race tracks, series, clubs and competitors will be on hand throughout the weekend.

Both race fans and race teams can enjoy shopping for everything from collectibles to carburetors. A Swap Meet area will provide race teams with the chance to look up some parts and pieces for the coming season while a number of exhibitors throughout the show floor will have everything from custom golf carts and mini ATVs to motocross gear and products for both racing and personal vehicles.

An interactive “Kids Fun Zone” will be set up by the team from Ontario Dirt Late Models and will be open throughout both days of the show. On the Sunday, kids will have the chance to build some take-home souvenirs in one of two scheduled “Kids Workshops” put on by Home Depot London East.

Over ten thousand dollars-worth of prizing will be given away throughout the weekend, including a trip for two to Bristol Motor Speedway from Have Bus Will Travel Racing Tours, a chance to drive a real stock car with CPT Entertainment’s Happy Hour Stock Car Driving Experience, and many other prize packages which include tickets to race tracks such as Grand Bend Motorplex, Ohsweken Speedway, Delaware Speedway, Merrittville Speedway, Sauble Speedway and Grand Bend Speedway.

Tickets to the event are $12.00 each. Kids 12 years of age and under are admitted free. On-site parking at the Western Fairgrounds is also free.

Tickets are available on the event’s official website, www.cptrace.com .
