I'm sure some of you have heard of this already, posting it for any RC'ers who haven't.

Long and short of it, Loblaws (who own SuperStore) got caught in a decade old price fixing scandal.

They are now offering anyone 19+ years of age who's bought at least one loaf of bread there (practically everyone) a FREE $25 Gift Card.

It takes like 2 minutes to complete the form here: https://www.loblawcard.ca/

There ya go, don't say BenFrankBenFrank never gave you anything.

There is a class action suit that has been launched, if you sign up for the card it negates your eligibility to be part of the suit. That being said, you would likely get your card much quicker than any money from a CA.

It's not true, they will just take $25 from your payout from any lawsuit

Ah ok, my bad, that has changed from the original article that I had read. I see there was a revision as of this am.

Is does prevent you from suing them as an individual though.

My wife is encouraging all of her friends and family to register for the card and donate it to a local foodbank. I think that is a great idea. Imagine if even 50% of Canadian adults did that.

There’s a massive campaign going on in Halifax for this, I think feed NS will get a ton. It’s tough debating who to donate to.

I read somewhere today (metro news maybe) that you would have to sign your card and show id when using it to prevent fraud. That might make the donation idea tough
