So you just eat one meal a day basically? I have heard of this, and want to cut some weight myself. Always pack on a few pounds over the winter. Haven't done any research yet, so forgive my ignorance but you guys have me curious.
you eat whatever you are going to eat in your non fasting window could be once, could be a couple times, depending on the size of your window I usually eat once in my 4 hour window
I regularly skip breakfast, just coffee. She a light lunch and a regular meal for dinner. You're allowed to drink coffee right? Thinking this may be the way to go... Also, how are your energy levels?
coffee wont break your fast as long as its black. ive never drank coffee so i dont have any personal experience drink lots of water, it'll curb your hunger. youll piss 87 times per day which is kind of annoying because i drive a lot no change in energy. i worked a job where i started at 5am for 6 years, so my habits are very early bird. i usually am up by 5 and finish a workout by 5:45 and get ready for the day. usually thats about 12ish hours from my last eating window and I dont notice anything....but i've been doing this routine for over a year
For me to start, it’s an 8 hour window starting at noon and going to 8pm. So I’ll be having lunch and then supper with the family. Tons of information online - the intermittent fasting Reddit groups have tons of info. My sister is a registered dietitian and she gave me the thumbs up for doing it, lots of scientific papers online talk about the benefits, etc.
I'm only on day 3 but I'm actually already noticing higher energy levels. Like 17 mentioned, I'm drinking a ton more water but not too bad for me since I'm WFH right now and the bathroom is 10 feet away.
get something you know weighs say 20lbs, place on scale see if it matches. I've had multi pound drops over a few days
I haven’t really changed eating habits. Pizza for supper last night, beer in the afternoon while cleaning up the backyard.
My activity level went to the shitter during the past year. Had to force test last week and it shamed me into getting my ass back in gear. Good thing about being in my 40's now is that although I performed much worse my level didn't suffer much.
