I have a cousin that worked for Onstar and she said they were thinking of expanding to none GM vehicles..... I don't know if that is true or just a rumor.
2004 Acura TL and RL come with Onstar.... And onstar comes in lotsa vehicles... including Oldsmobile, Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Isuzu, Saab, Audi, and yes.... Acuras too...
Fucking sweet as car! The interior and especially the gauges own me, that things is gorgeous!!!! Look at the size of the tires in the rear! Audi and Acura are the only two outta the 8 that AREN'T vehicles owned/operated/have times with General Motors.
they have it it looks like a US only thing for acura though http://onstar.com/canada_english/jsp/vehicles/vehicles.jsp
it would be on the rear view mirror... which they dont show... ever notice the Acura logo kinda looks like the the crests they have on the Star Trek uniforms?
Pay attention to a GM commercial next time when the flash all the names of the company. . . they're in there. GMC, Chevrolet, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, Saturn, Saab, Isuzu, Hummer. http://www.gm.com/ Check the names on the page!
That's one slutty luxury car... for an Acura Like ASMD says, the guages own me. They are wicked. Awesome. Interior is hella-nice. Love the brakes, other than the Acura logo I'd like to see like 10mm wider tires on it though... Not a big fan of the narrow look. I always prefer a tire that is completely equal looking to the rim, or wider.
Pulled up beside a silver one last night in traffic, had Ontario dealer plates on it. SICK! It looks exactly as shown in the PR photo's above that I posted months back.
how come car commercials and such always adervise their cars to look amazing even though its illegal to tint the front windows and stuff like that
Extremely nice looking car, and more then likely performing car as well!! I love the guage cluster in that thing..best looking guages ever IMO. Tyler
Why do all fast food chains present their food in such a manner with perfect presentation in commercials/ad's when in fact you never ever ever get your food prepared in the fit and finish that you see advertised? It's called marketing.
It's a tough one to figure out, flower.. lol. Also I'd like to note that Acura appears to be developing thier own style of I-Drive, much like Audi's MMI and MBZ's upcoming I-Drive ripoff. I guess all the internet idiots that have never used the system can't spout off any longer about how much it sucks! If you want a luxury car you're going to have to learn to deal with it! All these internet idiots learned to use a computer, the fuck's so difficult about learning a mouse-style controller in your car?! Fucking morons who blindly follow quarter-century-too-old auto writers lost back in time and never sample these things themselves...
Yeah I could never understand why motortrend and C&D and all the other so called auto expert magazines found Idrive to be so hard to maneuver around. Its like they needed something to bitch about and couldn't find anything wrong with the actual engineering of the cars that they settled on what is basically a radio control nob.... It took me all of 5 minutes sitting in the car to have Idrive totally figured out.
Wow that looks pretty nice. I have to agree when those gauges my mouth dropped and immediatley wondered how I could have those in my car. Fucking wicked.
Heh, makes me wonder how stupid these journalists are, or how stupid the audience they gear the articles towards are....
