I like how the rear bumper is almost flush with the rest of the car. This way if you get rear ended, or back into something, etc you can be sure that you'll be replacing more than just your bumper.

drove the new one last week, and this compared to the old tl is retarded.

The new 6 speed is 1 sec quicker to 60 then the previous car.

I can agree with stu. My friend's rents have a 02 TL-S, and yea, it's pretty quick for a big car, and it's an auto. I drove the new one and it's wayyyyyyyy nicer than the old one. We drove the auto, but jeez, it moves for such a big car. 0-60 for auto is about 7.3 sec. 0-60 for 6speed&LSD is 6.2!! :o :o :o

Awesome car, even though the TSX with mods is a weapon..........

Yup, I'd trade my car for a TSX. Make mine black on black, 6 speed with the lip kit. Maybe something I should look into.....

Not a big fan of black, it looks very dull on that car and doesn't do it's lines justice. Just MO.

I spent $40K on my car, and I'm going to stick with my choice. :) You guys can lust after the TSX if you want though.
The TSX seems pricey for what it is to me, and the TL will be just another FWD overweight Acura high-speed cruiser that handles like a Tuna Boat.

In fact, the only good Acuras, seem to be the ones that are simply rebadged Honda's from other markets (TSX = Accord and RSX and Integra) while the stuff they build and develop for the US market (TL, CL, RL etc.) are usually pigs.

Well dave i would have to disagree with some of your points. First its all about the factors. What you do you wish for, ie do you want 4 doors or 2, do you want resale and dependability are other facets.

In the end i would not qualify the new TL a heavy pig, scary thing is that the performance of this auto can far out perform many notable sport cars, just wait and see the test.

As for the tsx, its not over priced in MO, 35,000 for a sedan that handles and performs the way it does, combine that with build quality that far out shines anything domestic (not that that is hard) and notably some european makes (its far better the bmw at the moment).

anyhow, its all about what you want, 2 or 4 door, sports car or sports sedan, either way both acura products shine in their respective catagories, and even, like i said, challegne sports cars. Recently i read a test that puts the heavy tuna boat TL at performance times and skid pads numbers compareable to european benchmark(bmw/audi) and the japanese bench marks.

But again its all about personal perference, and really 4 door cars can be stiffer platforms, and hence better performers on race tracks and solos.
