"3dCarbon" 2005 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Premium

    3dCarbon
The balance between styling, aftermarket features and cost that influenced so many aspects of the 2005 Ford Mustang by 3dCarbon is evident right down to its wheels and tires. 3dCarbon tightened the tire-to-fender gap by integrating a body kit to emphasize the wheel stand and improve the suspension. A high-profile rear wing and other exciting accessories create the new "Boy-Racer"—one that is sure to turn heads even when the car is parked. The "Boy-Racer" body kit and accessories will also be available through Ford Racing Performance Parts distributors.

That chop is sexy but I prefer the location of the round fogs/driving lights in the original location instead of so close together in the center.

I like them but they really need a good set of rims to bring the look of them out. That chopped on is sick. leave fog lights stock, 1-2" drop and maybe a factory cf hood and that would be it for looks.

I really like the 05 mustangs but I feel bad for some ppl that bought them. Heres why...

Image scan: Internal Ford Motor Company document.

"Sources at one of Ford's engine plants told BlueOvalNews that Ford Motor Company has instructed assembly plants to stop shipping certain 2005 model year vehicles because they can contain defective 4.6L or 5.4L engines. The defective engines were manufactured by both the Windsor and Essex, Canada engine plants and were shipped to the following assembly plants: Michigan Truck, Kansas City Truck, Dearborn Truck, Norfolk Assembly, Kentucky Truck and Auto Alliance (Mustang).

The 2005 model year 4.6L and 5.4L engines in question were built with defective cylinder heads. According to sources, the defective cylinder heads will have an adverse effect on performance and will cause the engine to fail to meet Ford's specifications.

The products that can contain the defective engines include the 2005 Ford Mustang GT, 2005 F-Series, 2005 F-Series Super Duty, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. Ford has instructed the assembly plants to stop shipping vehicles until they are screened to see if they contain the defective engines.

It's not immediately clear if Ford will replace the entire engine at the assembly plant or just replace the defective cylinder heads and approve the vehicle for shipment to customers. At least one owner of a 2005 Mustang GT had their vehicle replaced due to a defective engine."

    Updates at BlueOvalNews.com.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If Ford and Gm didn't employ so many cracked out, drunked up assembly line workers, then their product would be a hundred times more reliable:kekeke:

That press release is old and the problems fixed before the cars ever left the manufacture. Although the Ford GT was already out.

Wow a reacall. show me a manufacturer that hasnt had one.

Well, I seem to remember a cylinder head problem on 99 SVT Cobras as well. Plus the whole riveting together of 2003 Mustangs that had defective welds after they'd left the factory. Oh yeah and the Focus that was out for 2 years in Europe and set world records for recalls when they brought it here. Did I mention like a million trucks that can catch fire due to the cruise control.. and the solution is to DISCONNECT it lol loss of feature you paid for.

Everyone has had one, for sure... but how many and how frequently are the cases.

Firestone tires/shoddy rear suspension argument, anyone?

I agree, the focus was a recall queen. I know my car personally has ever only had one recall. Not sure which shody rear suspension your talking about? i assume you mean the live rear vs a irs. Not everyone wants an irs.

LIke i said, i dont think its any more frequent then any other company. Remeber the chevy recals of last year?

NO, like how they blamed Firestone for the tires failing on the cars when really they were underinflating them to make up for the subpar handling characteristics of the vehicles in question once loaded.. then immediately after that they switched to IRS for the Expedition and Explorer's next model. Basically, they took the littler guy down. SHADY!

GM and Ford both have a ton of recalls, Chrysler has a lot too.. but you're comparing the worst to the worst.

Ford isn't any worse than the rest of the AMERICAN manufacturers... I agree.
