I'm looking to buy a new semi-auto 22lr. Sub $500.

It'll be rarely used. Once in a blue moon for small varmint (raccoon, etc), and maybe 25-50 rounds a year plinking. I prefer the look/feel of wood stock, am indifferent between blued/stainless, and would prefer to buy once and keep it for the rest of my life.

Suggestions? After pulling the carpet, there was a thin foam/padding that was glued all over the stairs. They are in rough shape and don't want to deal with refinishing them now as its more time than I want to invest in it.

I’m heading to Orlando (staying in the Disney/Epcot area) for a conference in a few weeks. Pretty sure my wife is going to come along, and we’ll have about three days after the conference to do whatever.

Not really interested in theme parks or shopping, would rather see some sights and keep it relatively low-key.

Considering either driving out to the keys, heading for Tampa and the Gulf coast, or maybe Daytona area.

Are the keys worth the six extra hours...
