Firearms - New and Used

Hey RC, can you speak of any websites etc where you have heard good things about buying new and/or used firearms. I am in the market for a Yote gun. In fact, feel free to tell me what you think is the best firearm for coyotes. I am leaning at .22 calibre as i can have it in the woods 11 mths of the year right? - .223, 22.250 etc..Some say .243 so you can take down deer and other big game with it.

.22 rimfire you can have in the woods. But it is more suited to squirrels and chickadees than Coyotes. .223, 22-250, .243, 25-06, 6.5, etc are all good coyote guns. None are very good deer guns, .243 isn't bad as long as your shot placement is good.

On page 44 of your regulations book that came with your licences you will find the section Legal weapons and ammunition its broken down into 4 sections : big game,small game,furharvesting and other harvestable wildlife.read through section 2 under other harvestable wildlife.provided you have with you your HABITAT STAMP that is on the front cover of your licences you can carry a centerfire rifle until march 31 2013 for hunting coyote.
