ActionTec is officially disconnected and that router is powering everything beautifully.

I signed up in Feb for the $200 gift card and $5/mo off my mobility account

8 weeks came and went, called them. they said it could be up to 11 weeks and they put a request in for the $5/mo credit for my mobility account. said it takes a few billing cycles but should be fixed

as of yesterday, I still hadnt received my card or retroactive credits (or ANY credits). They put a request in for another card (6-8 weeks from now they said) and within TWO MORE billing cycles my mobility credit will appear.

So my 8 week wait... turned into 12... and now could be as much as 18 weeks. Pleased with the product, but the items they dangled to seal the deal have yet to materialize. Fucking mutts.

Had an eastlink guy walking around the neighborhood the other day stop and talk while i was out sitting on my deck. He wanted to know why i had switched and whatnot, and after explaining that i was not happy with their equipment and the poor customer service I received while on the phone with their support team, he says... Oh well just the other day I had a similar problem when i was talking to bell aliant's customer service, or support or whatever he called it. I let him finish his story, and then said, Wait... you're going around trying to get people to use eastlink's service but you use bell? he did alot of back peddling, um-ing, ah-ing, then gathered his papers/promotions and left.

Maybe it's just me, but that didn't seem like much of a sales pitch.

720p is still decent. I don't think anyone would broadcast 1080p TV for a while

I have no use for it as a TV. I have a 52" and a 42" already. That was going to be used on my PC as a secondary display but no 1080 is a deal breaker. Going to buy another 24" monitor I think.

Yep, if I was in the market for a 720p TV, I'd probably have bought this one.
