I was going on looks alone too. lol.
Its just nice to see a rig with a bit of style. Big change from what you see out there on the roads now.

I think it looks pretty good![]()

Fucking beautiful trucks IMO.

I hated them too and then I saw one all polished up rolling down the highway and my mind was changed right there. We had a guy hauling frac sand for us last winter that had a brand new one and it was so nice but he had to take it anywhere we needed sand at. Needless to say that truck took some abuse in it's first year. I watched him get pulled up a hill by a skidder and I thought for sure the front end was gonna get ripped off.
They look really funny with a moose bar on the front though, hideous actually.LOL

really? I saw one with a moose grill on it that was contoured to the grille and it looked pretty damn good. I agree that it's not very "truckish" looking, but they are definitely nice.
The one I was in had fucking hardwood flooring in the cab AND bunk.

Spent my summers in trucks as a kid, it was all I wanted to do after high school. Went to NB at 17, and turned 18 during the course, (legal age for class 1 in NB, it was 109 at the time in NS) got a NB address, returned to NS, and went to work.
Drove until I was 23, then got a desk job.

My Boss's S/O owns a Sterling/Western Star dealership in Dartmouth
Duke: FTW is going on
The company I work for will only buy western stars due to an agreement that we have with First Choice truck center in Lloydminster. They were the only truck dealership that would allow the owner of the company to pay payments to buy his first truck. Because they allowed him to do this (25 years ago) he vowed to never buy trucks from anybody else. He has since bought over 100 from them and we have the largest fleet of Western Stars in Canada due to them giving him the chance.

its not as easy as that. I don't have the money to go take the 12 week course, and I'm at a pretty good job right now that I don't want to give up yet to pursue this dream of mine. In time I'll do it, just not right yet.
I grew up in the passengers seat of a truck going all over the maritimes with my dad. It's in my blood

That 12 week course is also 8000 dollars and really the pay as a truck driver is not that good. If you drive team and drive constantly then you can make decent money but as a company driver you only get paid about 42 cents a mile. The best you can do legally is about 1200 km's a day so that is only about 300 a day if you are running your ass off, it would get pretty tiring after a while.

If the contract im working on today goes right, im going to buy myself a good used truck.
