    "Clunking"

I'm starting to get a clunking noise quite frequently shifting from 2nd to 3rd. Every now and then it clunks 1st to 2nd.
Is this something to raise an eyebrow at? It sounds like it can be heard from outside the vehicle.

If it is an 2006 or newer I believe there is a recall on the hydraulic motor mount. It is like a shock absorber on the bottom of the motor. It may or may not be that but it is a good place to start.

Motor mount was my first guess. But the obvious choice is to take it in and have Honda go over it. Espicially if its under warrenty anyways.

Those are American TSBs that you posted.. which sometime do not apply to Canadian vehicles... BUT.. there is a TSB for the motor mount with Honda Canada as well. Some of the TSB's on the site that you posted do not apply.

About the not being able to open the trunk issue, did you check to see if you might have locked the trunk release handle to the left of the driver's seat and forgot? You have to put the key in and turn it to either lock or unlock it. Just a thought.

True, but it is alot harder to find the Canadian lists of tsb's on the web. Also, seeing as all civics of this generation were built in Canada if you were to have one of these listed problems but there was no tsb in Canada you would have a good argument to get yours fixed for free.
Also, while you are at it CKR, have them check your rear tires for uneven wear and if there is any get them to do the rear upper control arms if there is.

And it was a dumb thought on my part at that. Even if that had been the case, you still would have been able to open the trunk with the fob or key. So much for my early morning bus ride insight.

    Update.
I'm here at the dealership. They couldn't isolate the "clunking" noise because it wasn't doing it on 2 seperate trips down the road. So they can't really do anything now. Which kinda sucks. Isn't that always the case... it never happens when you want it to.

I'm just waiting around for the trunk latch to get replaced.

I also didn't have any outstanding recalls that needed to be done, nor was there even any to do.

EDIT: They tired to swing me for a brake servicing also. Front and back brakes are at .5. Not really a need to be serviced.
