Been rocking the Vodka water for a while, I must thank Dana for showing me this though. Usually get a lime for it, depending on the type of vodka.
Ok. It took me 24 years so discover it, but this is the ultimate drink. No limes, no lemons. Just vodka and water.
pros
------
1) great taste. no, it does NOT taste like rubbing alcohol at all.
2) do not have to buy mix. just add water. no sugars!
3) you stay hydrated, because you're drinking water. dehydration is half the reason you get hung over!
4) this might sound ghetto, but it tastes EXACTLY the same when it's piss warm. i just walked around a music festival for 2 days in the 25 degree heat with my V&W, it got super warm, i did not care.

if you put a lime in, and then stir it around, it seems to neutralize the rest of the taste

Yeah, ever since my Vodka & Water revelation, I've been wanting to try all the different liquors with water. Haven't tried Rye & Water yet though.

I can tolerate rum and water, but I've never tried vodka and water. I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker.
A 5th pro for someone like me is that I wouldn't get heartburn like I do when mixing vodka with an acidic juice.

i don't really notice a difference but bottled water is easier for camping.. i just went and bought a 24 of bottled water.. would pour out a little and fill it with vodka and lime juice worked perfectly all weekend!!!

hahahh i don't remember it being that bad.... i always used to fill my bottles with tap water and throw them in the fridge so that it's cold..but when ever i drank the vodka water i usually bought a 4L or bottles..
Moncton has the cleanest tap water in canada i think.. (or so i've been told) and there is a lot of shit goin on about bottled water these days..

I find in Calgary tap water there are lime or calcium flakies, there is prob no difference in the taste but I just don't like seeing them. That's also why all the taps out here have the white crusty stuff on the end. I know bottled water is bad for the enviroment but it's just so tasty!
